A Drown Man
This Punk is inspired by CryptoPunk #6973 and artworks of Сhashnik. The color scheme and arrangement of some lines of the punk correspond to the painting "Movement of Color" by Ilya Chashnik, seen by one of the creators of SupremePunks in 2012 at the exhibition "There will be three of us" in The Tretyakov Gallery dedicated to the work of Malevich, Chashnik and Suetin. Ilya Chashnik developed the ideas of his teacher K. S. Malevich, creating significant in terms of volume non-figurative paintings and drawings, strict in its "weightless-cosmic" layout of forms, and considering himself a full follower of Malevich.

The Punk itself depicts the ancient Scandinavian god of the sea, Aegir. Many researchers believe that Aegir is a personification (embodiment) of the calm sea. Aegir attends the feasts of the Aesir (God of war) and invites them to his hall, he is a worthy guest and good-natured host, and never participates in any quarrels or battles. That is why Aegir is often associated with the calm sea, while his wife Ran appears to be a personification of stormy, dangerous water ("Rán" in Old Norse means "to plunder" or "to steal"). On the other hand, in Skaldic poetry we find the turn "the ship fell into the teeth of Aegir", which means "crashed, wrecked".
Aegir, the Norse Ruler of the Sea
From this point of view Aegir is a dual deity, for the most part positive, but quite capable of displaying warlike and destructive features. Aegir created fog and bad weather to make it harder for sailors to navigate in his waters as he did not like guests in his sea, this fogginess is reflected in the background of the punk. The duality of Aegir's disposition is shown in the construction of Punk. The turbulence of the character is demonstrated in the chaotically drawn and brightly colored hair, and the moderation in the more strictly arranged and cast in pastel shades of gray elements that make up the front of the punk. The abundance of blue refers to the element ruled by Aegir. Around the punk are runic suprematist inscriptions indicating the deity's Scandinavian origins.
