Untold Legend
This Punk is inspired by CryptoPunk #2125 and artworks of Malevich. The story of Malevich's painting "Eight Red Rectangles" relates to the bloody civil war in the Russian Empire. The picture consists of two colours - red and white, symbolising the changes to come, filled with blood. People of the same nation were killing each other. Friends, neighbours, even relatives turned into enemies, they fought against each other for the future of the country. He felt that a new style of art was needed to match the changing political climate of his own country. The artist considered the country's path in the coming years and realized what would happen later, in connection with the revolution.

Amakusa Shirou, Woodblock print
This Punk represents the hero of the Shimabara Rebellion in Japan, namely the samurai Amakusa Shirou. It is filled with Japanese culture, struggle and the strong spirit of the samurai. The Shimabara Rebellion started on 17 December 1637. It was not only Christians and commoners, but also ronin - declassified samurai - who led the revolt. The spiritual leader of the revolt was a young man, Amakusa Shirou. His supporters referred to him as the 'fourth son of heaven', whose coming had been predicted by the first Catholic missionary of Japan, Francis Xavier. Amakusa did not call himself a messiah. Nevertheless, it was he who the rebels intended to lead the Christianisation of Japan.
The peasants swore allegiance to Christ and swore allegiance to the new Messiah in the person of Shirou Amakusa. "We are all those who have pledged allegiance to God and are prepared to die for it.
Takato Yamamoto — Amakusa Shirou
Amakusa Shirou was the leader of the defence of Hara Castle and died when it fell. After the revolt was put down, his head, like the heads of many other rebels, was set on a pike in Nagasaki for a very long time as a warning to any other potential Christian rebels. The Simabar Rebellion is one of the tragic pages of Japanese history, when a cultural clash led to a terrible bloodbath and terror against Christians.
