Misfortune
This Punk is inspired by CryptoPunk #9566 and the work of Joan Miro. A Spanish painter and sculptor whose work has had a huge impact on a whole generation of modernist artists. The works of Joan Miro belong to the earliest surrealist works. They served as the basis for the further formation and development of a style that is extremely popular to this day.
Joan Miro — Dutch Interiors, 1928
The SupremePunk is inspired by Miro's painting "Dutch Interior III". The series "Dutch Interiors" occupies a special place in the artist's work. Being in search of his own style, Joan Miro went to the Netherlands in 1928, where he visited museums and studied the works of great Dutch artists of the nineteenth century. He created his own original interpretations of the masters' paintings, one of which is "Dutch Interior III", inspired by Jan Sten's "Dressing Woman". The painting, which fully corresponds to the plot and composition of the original, is made using the modern language of color and form. The contrast of the old and the new in the work clearly demonstrates how much painting has changed over the past decades.
SupremePunk is based on the principles of non-objective painting by Joan Miro. The artist's style is characterized by conciseness and maximum simplification of the depicted objects. In the work, objects and forms are presented in the form of simple geometric designs, lines and spots. They are so stylized that at first glance it is sometimes difficult to understand what exactly is depicted on the canvas. The color scheme of the painting is simple and concise. The red spot in the center of the composition contrasts and forms the visual center of the composition.
Joan Miro — A dog barking at the moon, 1926
On the SupremePunk, the main composition is formed in the center, while the rest is empty. Such a composition formation can be found in the painting by Joan Miro "A dog barking at the moon". Surreal work, fully consistent with the canons of style. To create a picture, Mira draws inspiration from her childhood memories, when the night is sometimes presented with riddles and dark secrets. The painting is devoid of numerous details and is made in an extremely simplified manner, where the image of a dog resembles a child's drawing, and the dark palette, uncharacteristic for the artist, conveys a feeling of loneliness and longing. The staircase, which occupies the entire left part of the canvas, is a recurring object in the artist's work. It symbolizes escape from reality and the opportunity to throw off the burden of your own subconscious.
The artist SupremePunk created a concise and simple composition that evokes a peaceful and calm feeling. Due to the fact that the picture is flat and non-objective, the overall image of the picture is better perceived and read, the viewer can immediately note for himself what he likes.
Joan Miro — Motherhood, 1924
A similar technique can be found in Joan Miro's painting "Motherhood". The work impresses with its exquisite simplicity and special laconism. It expresses the artist's transition to non-figurative painting, in which real objects turn into geometric shapes, lines and spots. Miro here for the first time resorts to one of his favorite techniques - the image of contrasting details. On the canvas, large and very small objects located on an empty monochrome background come into contact with each other and create a strange but attractive harmony. According to the artist himself, he created such works completely spontaneously, simply allowing the colors and shapes to find their place on the canvas themselves.
